The International Association for Bear Research and Management website is a great place to learn about bears! Helping Bears Trough Research Since 1968. IBA has 550+ members from over 60 countries. It supports the scientific management of bears through research and distribution of information.

Wet Mountain Wildlife Rehabilitation in Westcliffe, CO is a nonprofit organization run by  Cec Sanders.

Pauline S. Schneegas Wildlife Foundation (PSSWF)
(PSSWF) is located in rural Garfield County near the town of Silt. They rehabilitate all species of wildlife (except bats and skunks) and provide educational programs to schools, clubs, groups, and businesses.


Kilham Bear Center
Kilham Bear Center has been rehabilitating and releasing injured, orphaned and abandoned black bear cubs brought by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department since 1993. The world renowned bear researcher Dr. Ben Kilham, his wife Debbie and his nephew Ethan are the primary caregivers of the cubs. The center receives cubs from New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts.


Appalachian Bear Rescue Appalachian Bear Rescue (ABR) is a state of the art black bear rescue facility located just outside of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Townsend, Tennessee.


The Idaho Black Bear Rehab
The Idaho Black Bear Rehab, Inc., was founded 32 years ago by Sally Maughan who sadly passed away last year and now is run by Amy Kidwell. IBBR rehabbed over 250 bears.


Black Bear and Grizzly Rehab in British Colombia and the only grizzly rehab in the Lower 48 States. NLWS was founded in 1990 by Angelika and Peter Langen.
